And Nina Ricci doesn’t disappoint us bringing some ethereal beauties without omitting the fun, vacation-inspired part. It’s all about babes wearing flirty dresses with a particular sporty-inspired touch.Peter Copping has done some really impressive designs over the years by successfully combining the Ricci heritage with a modern, spontaneous vibe. “Nina Ricci has always been an incredibly feminine label, yet with a relaxed feel,” the designer says. “I was very lucky, because the heritage left by Nina Ricci was more of a spirit than imposed dogmas. By continuing this approach, I am trying to capture the ultra-feminine side of the modern wardrobe,” Peter Copping explained.

Copping admits in an interview with W magazine that what he wanted was to transform the brand’s aesthetic into something both pretty and witty. “It drives the ateliers crazy sometimes that, when things are too perfectly made, I’ll ask them to go off and dump them in water or crush them. Sometimes we put the dresses in the steam press, like in [cult eighties TV soap] Prisoner: Cell Block H,” said the designer who studied fashion in London at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art. He also explains that, “It’s very important that the clothes relate to women’s lives.” Check out Nina Ricci’s resort 2013 line and you’ll find a riot of lust-worthy pieces to suit your style!
