Lulu Kennedy is frequently called fashion’s “fairy godmother” due to her support given to young, talented designers. “I’m just a foster mum. The designers are with me for one or two seasons and then I let them go. I can’t grant them wishes. They make things happen. They’ve got to put the work in,” she told The Guardian. However, it seems that since launching Fashion East ten years ago, the platform managed to boost the careers of some big names in London from Saunders and Holland to Holly Fulton and Richard Nicoll, Marios Schwab and Roksanda Ilincic and James Long.
